My first six apple grafts

The secret to getting a graft to take?  Don’t look at it. Don’t check it.  I had been checking just about every day to see if the grafts had taken.  It looked like the buds were beginning to swell but it was hard to tell.  I haven’t had a chance to check the grafts for about a week but I decided to brave the black flies and see if there was any progress.  The apples in our woods were in spectacular full bloom and our Dolgo crabs were in full bloom so maybe ……….

Was I surprised!

Will’s Gold

Six attempted grafts.  Six apparently successful grafts.  Beginner’s luck. Maybe. Probably.
