Goumi Update

As soon as the weather was reliably warm, I moved both the rooted cutting and the seedling outside.  Everything else was exploding into growth but they sat doing nothing.  They weren’t doing poorly but there was no new growth.  Then about a week ago, they started shooting, putting out branches and leaves.

So the seedling got planted in the new part of the orchard.

The leaves on the new growth are much less curled and more erect than the old leaves.

The cutting is putting out new growth as well but it is still very small so I’ll wait until later in the summer or perhaps the fall to plant it out.
